Before the puck dropped on the final home game of the regular season, the Golden Knights retired #58 in honor of the 58 people who lost their lives on 1 October. Like they did the first time the victims were honored at T-Mobile Arena the Golden Knights scored quickly, but unlike October 10th, the game did not spiral for the visitor. Then, in the 3rd, while shorthanded, William Karlsson scored the goal of the Golden Knights season and what may be the goal of the NHL season. When the clock hit 0:00, the Vegas Golden Knights clinched the Pacific Division.
Upcoming stories from the Vegas Golden Knights vs. San Jose Sharks at T-Mobile Arena.
- We’ll think of something, still have a melted mind over that Karlsson shorty.

Absolutely amazing! I never imagined when I – not previously a hockey fan – bit the bullet and bought the NHL package so I could watch the Knights that I would see such a great team. I fully expected based on what I heard that they would stink, but I wanted to learn the sport and support the team from the start. Here we are nearly 80 games later, I’ve watched almost every game of the year (missed Halloween – so not a good game lol and a few other losses), I’ve built a collection of Knights pucks and signs photos, and we won the division. And now hockey is maybe my favorite sport, thanks largely to the Knights of course. Karlsson’s goal was one of the best things I’ve ever seen in any sport. How much cooler can you look doing anything than he did on that goal – even complete with a look back as the goaltender fell flat on his face. Sharks fans were talking about this game like they’d somehow easily beat us, and how their last game against the Predators was a Western Conference Finals preview?! Hahahaha yeah right dream on.

Definitely a “goal of the year” candidate. Nice way to cap off a Pacific Division trophy!
Onward Knights!

That goal was absolutely amazing. My seats are behind that goal, and to see him coming down the ice, pull that move and score in normal speed was awesome. The icing on the cake is it being the division clinching goal.
Goal of the year:
1. James Neal opening night, because that started the dream season.
2. Theodore vs Tampa. Emphatic stamp on the, we are for real. We are not your dads expansion team movement
3. Karlsson last night- we don’t do anything conventional here in Vegas. Short handed, between the legs and a first year team winning the division. This is Vegas!!!
