Vegas controlled the run of play during much of the first two periods, but they just weren’t quite completely in sync. A funky bounce off Cody Eakin’s stick put the Golden Knights behind 1-0 at the end of two. New York struck again but Erik Haula scored another 3rd period goal to get the Golden Knights within one. The Golden Knights threw the kitchen sink at them with the goalie pulled, but the tying goal wouldn’t come.
