In the first game off the week-long bye, the Golden Knights understandably took a little while to get going. A scoreless 1st led to a high paced 2nd in which the Golden Knights scored twice. William Karlsson scores yet again, his 23rd, yet another one-timer from the slot. The Oilers tied it early in the 3rd. The game goes to OT where a three on one break leads to the game-winner for the Oilers.

Biggest take away from the Golden Knights locker room… the 2nd half hats are much nicer than the 1st half ones. (1st half first, 2nd half second) pic.twitter.com/O6NUv8Gmer

Nice to see a record attendance that was surely aided by 6,000 estimated fans from Edmonton, according to Hockey Night in Canada’s first ever broadcast from T-Mobile Arena. Would like to see these two teams meet in the first round of the playoffs, but the Oilers need to win 10 games in a row to get back into the playoff race. That means 8 more to go after their break.

There will always be that one team that will gave your number for a season or two. The Knights may have found their’s.
I do like the graphic on the second half hat, but I prefer the low crown of the first one.
