VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS 4 (46-21-5 97 PTS) CALGARY FLAMES 0

After a mini-team meeting and a very angry locker room following the four game home losing streak, the Golden Knights were expected to come out guns blazing on the Sunday afternoon game. That didn’t happen as they were outshot 20-6 in the 1st and couldn’t seem to generate much offense. Then, the 2nd happened, and the old Golden Knight returned to the tune of four goals in less than 10 minutes including a natural (three in a row) hat trick by William Karlsson. The final period was about one thing, donuts, and Marc-Andre Fleury delivered the shutout necessary to earn everyone Krispy Kremes.

Upcoming stories from the Vegas Golden Knights vs. Calgary Flames at T-Mobile Arena.

  • We found a historic statistic for the Golden Knights, but we need to talk to David Perron before we share it.
  • The standings cushion giveth and the cushion taketh away.

Three Stars
*** Colin Miller
** William Karlsson
* Marc-Andre Fleury

If the following happen, Thursday’s watch party could be a playoff clinching night-

    Devils beat Anaheim tonight
    Knights beat Canucks Tuesday
    Flames beat Ducks Wednesday

That sets up a potential playoff clinching game Thursday vs SJ

    Forgot to mention Kings

Kings lose at least 2 of 3 (Minnesota Mon, Winnipeg Tues, Colorado Thurs)

    Plus Knights win over Canucks.

Also your tweet on the side says any of the 8 point teams, but because the Central would still have 5 teams after Dallas still alive. Don’t We still need 2 Pacific or 1 Pacific And 2 Central. Calgary is close enough, but that still leaves 1 pacific or 2 Central

    So scratch Ducks by Thursday.

Go Minnesota and/or Winnipeg vs Kings the next 2 days to keep the dream alive.

    • Note: I went back and recalculated, a few numbers were off.

      • Mark

Still a chance for a Thursday clinch with 8 lost points for Kings

Vegas plays 2x (Tuesday vs Van and Thurs at SJ)

LA plays 3x all road (Minn Mon, Winnipeg Tues, Col Thurs)

8 of those 10 points go against LA, we clinch watching at The Game
