For the seventh time in the last eight games, the Golden Knights conceded the first goal of the game. An incredible play by Jake DeBrusk got Boston on the board, but Vegas was able to get even before the 1st intermission. A scoreless 2nd led to a thrilling start to the 3rd. Boston jumped ahead again, but an unbelievable play by Nate Schmidt tied it just moments later. Both teams had multiple chances and hit posts within seconds of each other but the game would remain tied into OT. A too many men on the ice penalty gave the Golden Knights a power play late in the OT. Boston scored one more in the skills competition than Vegas did.
