VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS 7 ANAHEIM DUCKS 2 (32-18-4, 68 PTS)

Recap: The Golden Knights were home for the first time in six games to host the Anaheim Ducks. Paul Cotter scored the only goal in the first period giving Vegas a 1-0 lead after the opening 20 minutes.

Both teams exchanged goals in the middle frame. Brett Howden scored his second of the season assisted by Keegan Kolesar and Nic Roy.

Vegas’ offense really turned on in the final period. The Golden Knights received goals from Shea Theodore, Phil Kessel, Jack Eichel Michael Amadio, and William Carrier. The game ended in blowout style.

The Golden Knights’ record improves to 32-18-4 crushing the Ducks 7-2. Vegas will host the Sharks this Thursday for their next game. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 PM.

Analysis: Like many games the Ducks have played in this season, the Golden Knights dominated territorially the entire game. They scored quick but then the chance generation slowed down through the middle of the game. In the 3rd they ramped it back up by getting pucks on net again. The Ducks then quit and VGK turned it into a rout. Easy win against the league’s worst team.  (Analysis by Ken)

the Dads straightened them out over the all star break.

nothing special about the win you beat bad teams take the points and get ready for the next one

  3. Jailbird

Scoring frenzy! Who needs to make a trade ? Ha. Also, getting TWO points is always special this time of year! Go KC

  4. Pistol Pete

Another goal and assist for Eichel on a beautiful shot (not sure anyone else on the team can make that). Getting by with Cotter and Marchy just barely imo. He needs at least one different winger. Marchy being able to get the puck up to him from a wall and Cotter driving the net counts for something for sure though.

Holding their own without Stone (though the matchups will be getting tougher) makes it all the more meaningful to add by the deadline (competitive without Stone means all the more so
    with a replacement 1RW).

Stephenson a keeper as 3C. Carrier-Stephenson-Kessel really working. Cotter working damn hard to fill in at 1LW. Have to admire the effort and results (scoring two games in a row)

    1. The uniform worn today and the white road uniform should be the only ones worn. Trash all others.
    2. So Ken doesn’t have to repeat it again….The Ducks are pretty bad.
    3. Confidence building daily, and now to stay healthy. Guys all working extra hard.

Owen Krepps of Vegas Hockey Now: VHN has mentioned that Golden Knights could target Timo Meier, Noel Acciari, Pavel Buchnevich, and Jesse Puljujarvi.

The Golden Knights will have around $10.6 million in cap space if Mark Stone and his $9.5 million are LTIR’d for the season.

Prospects Zach Dean, Brendan Brisson, and Lukas Cormier could be trade assets. They don’t have their second or fourth-round picks this year but have an extra third.

would like to see one of Meier, or Buchnevich, or Domi ……..

    and Barbashev for depth

meier will cost a lot multiple teams want him they could go after 2 lesser guys domi and jvr would be okay

    • Emmanuel

Domi and Barbie. For 3 rd rounders and B level prospects. It can be done.

The Ducks just checked out in 3rd period..it was pretty easy pickings after that. Good to see multiple scorers– more weapons, more headaches for other teams. Nice effort!

  8. Jailbird

KC wins! Nice wager cash-in for me!

    meanwhile in the national ……….

last week NHL reported that ratings are down in NHL mainly due to pantyhose wearing Bettman’s sick and twisted woke agenda. Talk about NOT speaking
    to your audience.

    That is a fACT Jack
that you can take to the bank.

Not to mention nearly every NHL game action is replicated, the action is same. You wouldn’t know the difference if the team’s changed sweaters. What is difference between a sweater and a jersey ? A sweater has the strings on the top collar, the jersey as NHL label at top collar with no strings attached.

It is profoundly unAmerican and frankly should be illegal to separate national anthems by skin color.

What a farcical embarrassment that the NFL plays this degenerate racist game

There is only one national anthem, not two , btw. Don’t buy the fake media hype folks.

They should change the Stars and STripes NATIONAL Anthem to GOD BLESS AMERICA

Very little comments because they are winning. The whiny bitches are quiet.
