Vegas played a much better first two periods out-chancing the Caps. But, like has been the norm through three and a half games the scoreboard did not agree. Washington scored on the power play and then on a quick odd-man rush. Holtby stoned a number of great chances from the Golden Knights top line. Cody Eakin scored a great wraparound goal in his first game of the year. The Golden Knights fought back time and time again but just could not get the game tied. Score looks a lot worse than the game actually was.
Upcoming stories from the Vegas Golden Knights vs. Washington Capitals at CapitalOne Arena.
- Not only are the Golden Knights disjointed on the ice, but they’ve also been disjointed in how they’re feeling about their play.
Three Stars
*** Nicklas Backstrom
** Alex Ovechkin
* Evgeny Kuznetsov
I know no one wants to hear this because the score is not where we want it, but if the Golden Knights play like this every night they'll win a lot of games this year.

Horrid timing pulling Fleury there. Yet again, hard to get a break thus far in this young season. Still not woried though.
