Recap: VGK sent a limited lineup to this one with just the new-look 4th line (Howden, Kolesar, and Pearson) as well as Hutton and Korczak. They looked well put together though as they didn’t allow too much of danger in front of the goal and took advantage of a few chances.
Cal Burke, Brett Howden, Tuomas Uronen, and Tanner Pearson (empty net) each scored goals and Akira Schmid was excellent in his first appearance as a Golden Knight.
1st overall pick Macklin Celebrini scored a power play goal in his first ever NHL action.
The Golden Knights win their first preseason game 4-2. VGK are right back at it Wednesday night at home against the LA Kings with what’s expected to be a completely different roster. The game is scheduled for 7 PM at T-Mobile Arena. (Recap by Ken)
Analysis: As far as preseason games go, that one was pretty decent. Lots of San Jose exciting youngsters on the ice but VGK’s older roster took care of business. Really like Cal Burke and Akira Schmid in their first time in gold. (Recap by Ken)

We already know Toffoli and Celebrini will cause trouble when the VGK meet the Sharks.
ThG
tanner pearson had a good game, didn’t do anything to NOT make his case.
Cal Burke had a good game, but he’s low on depth charts.
Brisson had OK game, but was taken off the puck too many times.
Ureonon (or however you spell his name) had a good game
Laz (no 28) had a good game, and is having a great camp.
Hutton was good, Korczak was a bit shakey on D, but Ok
Schmid looked good, but only had 7 shots.
Saville started to get shakey at end, but then came up with good save.
Cagnoni looked really good for sharks
Celebrini had flashes ,, but I wasn’t impressed, VGK should be able to handle him when he gets down low or on circle like they handle those two Oilers hot shots who play the same way, you know McD and Leon. D.

n his 1976 book The Twelfth Planet, Russian-American author Zecharia Sitchin claimed that the Anunnaki were actually a race of extraterrestrial beings from the undiscovered planet Nibiru, who came to Earth around 500,000 years ago in order to mine gold.
According to Sitchin, the Anunnaki genetically engineered homo erectus to create modern humans to work as their slaves. Sitchin claimed that the Anunnaki were forced to leave Earth when Antarctic glaciers melted, causing the Flood of Noah, which also destroyed the Anunnaki’s bases on Earth. These had to be rebuilt and the Nephilim, needing more humans to help in this massive effort, taught them agriculture.
Ronald H. Fritze writes that, according to Sitchin, “the Annunaki built the pyramids and all the other monumental structures from around the world that ancient astronaut theorists consider so impossible to build without highly advanced technologies.“Sitchin also claimed that the Anunnaki had left behind human-alien hybrids, some of whom may still be alive today, unaware of their alien ancestry. Sitchin expanded on this mythology in later works, including The Stairway to Heaven (1980) and The Wars of Gods and Men (1985). In The End of Days: Armageddon and the Prophecy of the Return (2007), Sitchin predicted that the Anunnaki would return to earth, possibly as soon as 2012, corresponding to the end of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar.

JB, lol. So good so far.

Nice solid victory with a scrub lineup.
Pearson, Laz, Uronen, Burke, Schmid and vets Hutton and Howden all left a good impression.
so did the 5 on 5 defensive system of Cassidy.
the PK however still shows the problem of being too passive, giving the point man and the wings in the circles way too much space and time to find an open man in the circle for a one timer…
JB
Yea! We must improve the PP, period! Just too long it has been hampering our success !
