For the first time in a while, the Golden Knights were buzzing in the 1st. The high paced period ended with just one goal, from Erik Haula. The 2nd seemed to resort back to more of what we’ve seen recently from Vegas; a much slower period which led to a goal by the Flyers to head to the final intermission tied. The Golden Knights got it going again early in the final period scoring first, but they conceded the game tying goal moments later. Then, an incredible shift by Pierre-Edouard Bellemare set up a goal for Ryan Carpenter to give Vegas their 45th win and Marc-Andre Fleury’s 400th career victory.

Carpy Deuces again! Bellemare with some unbelievable effort along the boards. Also, Merrill had a great keep in the zone. VGK 3 PHI 2, under 3 to go!

Just curious Ken, is that the type of win you were talking about in the last podcast. One of those ones that feel like this is the Vegas team from Dec?
Ken Boehlke
That was much more like it. Played their style. Fought back to get the leads. Random guy steps up. Yeah.

It was a great win for sure. Especially on the road. A couple of injured guys returning would help too.
Also, I would like at least one more road regulation win in their last 5. That way they break that record without shootout wins. Give me 20 ROW wins just so no one can put an asterisk there.
