The Golden Knights played an excellent period in which they scored the first goal from William Carrier. However they had a rough shift in the final shift of the period and gave up the tying goal. In the 2nd the Golden Knights continued their dominance hitting a few posts but finally getting one to go on a shot from Alex Tuch. An unbelievable pass from Nate Schmidt sprung William Karlsson on breakaway to put the Golden Knights up by two. Paul Stastny added the empty netter late.

Unpopular opinion, but I agree with this one being overturned. My problem is the lack of consistency, and it shouldn’t be this hard. If an offensive player pushes a defending player into the goalie, no goal. If a defending player pushes an offensive player into the goalie, good goal. I actually expected this goal to stand since we have seen this same situation and it was a good goal. Whatever.

2 good outings now by Subban. This bods well for the VGK.
