Florida scored just 12 seconds into the game on a break started by a collision from Paul Stastny and Shea Theodore. An individual effort by Max Pacioretty tied the game up in the 1st. A fast-paced 2nd period came and went without any goals. A turnover in the offensive zone by Jonathan Marchessault led to a bad pinch from Shea Theodore and a poor defensive effort from William Karlsson to allow the game-winning goal.
