The 1st period was mostly just 10 guys skating along the boards creating nothing offensively, but as the period rolled on the Coyotes started creeping closer and closer to a goal. It finally came late in the 1st, but Vegas responded well with a pair of goals from Tomas Nosek and Max Pacioretty. The Golden Knights had the third goal of the game taken away due to an offside challenge. Then, Arizona scored and another challenge went against Vegas, this time for goalie interference which tied the game at two. The overtime winner came from a freshly onto the ice Max Pacioretty.
