Recap: The Golden Knights were looking to win in back-to-back nights with a victory in Anaheim. Late in the opening period, William Karlsson recorded his 5th goal of the season, giving Vegas a 1-0 edge before the break.
Defenseman Shea Theodore scooped up an open rebound in front of Anaheim’s net to double Vegas’ advantage. The Ducks cut the Golden Knights lead to 2-1 minutes before the 2nd intermission.
Three minutes into the final frame Alex Holtz scored his second goal of the season. Theodore would tack on empty net goal to secure the lead.
The Golden Knights record improves to 17-7-3 defeating the Ducks 4-1. in Anaheim. Vegas will travel back home to host the Dallas Stars on Friday night. Puck drop against the Stars is scheduled for 7 PM. (Recap by Jason)
Analysis: Golden Knights vs Ducks, rinse and repeat. Like just about every game between these two teams, Vegas is clearly the better team, they control most of the action, score on odd-man rushes, and don’t give up much in their own end. The Golden Knights were in control of this game. Anaheim is a bottom feeder. Samsonov took advantage of the opportunity to build some confidence. I will give the Star to Cassidy for making sure that the team was ready to play against what is likely the worst team in the NHL
Tee up the Stars this Friday at the Fortress. Facing off against DeBoer is always entertaining. Expecting Stone to be active.

Honestly, I am glad the VGK are stuck in the worst division of all Pro Sports.
Half of the teams are absolute trash, so it is nice to have a bunch of confidence boosting games against garbage teams spread out through out the season.
The Pacific division being so atrocious is one of the reasons why the window of this team would be open a few extra years.

Hertl needs to be a center. Return to the center lineup of Eichel/Hertl/Karlsson/Roy one of the strongest in the league. Personally I think the 4th line should be Pearson-Roy-Kolesar which should be one of the strongest in the league.

I agree totally on the 4th line and have always felt Roy is better suited there…and even though I appreciate Kolesar’s improvement he is NOT a second liner…NO WAY NO HOW!
