The Golden Knights once again jumped out to an early lead, 2-0 and then 4-1. For the second straight game, they chased the opposing goalie, this time just :10 into the 2nd period. But then the Sharks stormed back in to the game to tie it late in the 2nd. Subban replaced Lagace to start the 3rd. A huge overturned challenge saved the game for the Golden Knights through 3. Marchessault wins it in OT.

Way to stick with it Knights! You could feel the momentum shift in the 3rd with the knights having Subban back in goal. Great to see Malcom back! Fantastic game from Marchessault!

I’m just gonna put this out there and get murdered for saying it but I believe T-Mobile is in the top 5 for home arenas as far as what the crowd brings to a game in terms of actual effect on a game. Almost everyone thought that Vegas would not support this team, that Vegas didn’t know hockey, that Vegas didn’t DESERVE a team (I’ve read that at least 10 times). I understand winning makes all the difference in the world but the crowd has definitely helped with many of those wins. I watch crowd reactions close and have been to many NHL arenas, I can honestly say the atmosphere in that arena is just much better than most of the arenas in the NHL (in my opinion). Every game has a playoffs vibe to it. That is the best way I can put it. If this is the vibe now…what would it be like if we make the payoffs? That brings up a good point, how long can this team play games like they are playing at the intensity of playoff games?
