New Employment Tab On VegasIsHockey Website

Job seekers! We’ve got some direction for you to make your dream of working with the newest NHL team a reality. Previously the team had set up a generic employment inbox in which they asked perspective employees to send in resumes, but now they’ve launched a page on the team website with specific job openings that will be updated as more become available.

The page can be found here, or by visiting VegasIsHockey.com and hitting the Contact Us/Employment tab.

There are currently two positions listed, one as Director of Ticketing Operations and the other as an Account Executive in ticketing.

The team has also partnered up with Teamwork Online, the leading website for employment in professional sports, to formally accept applications. All those who sent in applications via employment@vegasishockey.com will receive an email directing them to go through the new system.

Remember, you actually have to be qualified to work for the team. Like really qualified. More than, “I run this awesome website that follows the team.”

This is certainly progress for everyone looking for a job, as now you all know exactly where to go to get updates on new available position. And knowing those looking for jobs, I’m sure you’ll be on there at the top of the hour every hour until you get that call.

Nonetheless, the site is there and jobs are available, so get crackin’. Oh, and remember, if you learned about openings with the team from SinBin.vegas, and you land a job, you are required to be an unnamed source for the site for the rest of your life. Thanks.

Organization Now Accepting Employment Applications

Aside from the team name, job opportunities are seemingly the second most followed aspect of the new Las Vegas NHL organization.

Well, for the first time officially, they’ve now got a place for you to send those applications to and know they will wind up in the right place.

Openings are expected to include positions on the sales staff, marketing team, business and finance departments, and probably the largest staff to be made up of Las Vegas locals, the ticket sales department.

Please don’t be that guy and send in an application applying to be the head coach or GM, it makes us all look like idiots… unless you are Jason Botterill.

Jason, please send your resume to employment@vegasishockey.com now. Thank you.

After The Announcement, What’s Next?

We’ve been telling you for a while now, but it appears the time is nearly here for the league to finally make it officially official. Las Vegas is about to be awarded an NHL franchise… but, then what?

There is a lot that needs to be done between June 22nd and October 2017 when the Las Vegas Black Knights, Knights, Rat Pack, Aces, etc hit the ice for real. Here’s an outline of what will happen and a guess or two at when each may occur. (Note: My guesses are just that, guesses. Unless I say specifically otherwise, it’s speculation)

  • Organization installs President/General Manager
    • We’ve thrown a few names around, but there really can’t be anything concrete on who it will be until after the team is formally announced.
    • Expect the GM to be named very quickly after the team is awarded. Nothing hockey related can happen before this person is put in place, so I’d guess this could happen before June is over.
  • Ground breaking on Practice Facility
    • Far Hills and the 215 is still the planned location on the practice facility.
    • It will likely break ground within days of the announcement.
    • The facility is expected to take approximately 18 months to complete.
