Usually when the cameras cut to the Golden Knights bench during games we see plenty of familiar faces. This year, many of those faces are hiding behind masks, but they aren’t ordinary masks.
Each of the coaches, the backup goalie, and many others on the Vegas bench have been wearing black masks adorned with the Golden Knights logo on one side and a trio of stripes matching the team’s jersey on the other.
Unlike the team’s jerseys who are made by Adidas, the equipment made by companies like CCM, Bauer, and Warrior, or fan gear mostly produced by Fanatics, the face coverings seen on the Golden Knights bench are produced by a local company with a physical store right here in Vegas.
That company is Boomer Naturals and their signature product is a three-layer, adjustable, silver-infused face covering. They printed a few with Golden Knights logos as a gift to some members of the organization. They were hand-delivered to City National Arena and they impressed the team so much they called to say they needed more.
We were so excited to get the news. We’re a Vegas-based company with a staff full of Golden Knights fans. I’m very proud of our graphics team who did an incredible job working with the designs. -Amberly Quaintance, Boomer Naturals Director of Marketing and Business Development
So far, the Golden Knights have been seen wearing black masks but there are new gold ones they’ll also be wearing soon.
I really wanted to see Fleury wearing one of the masks. I actually missed it on TV the first time and then my phone started blowing up with screenshots after they showed him. -Quaintance
The masks are only available for purchase locally. You can get them now at Boomer Naturals, located at 8670 W Cheyenne. They are also available at Modern Rivals at 545 W Sunset in Henderson and Findlay Chevrolet at 6800 S Torrey Pines.
The team will be wearing the black and gold styles, but they also come in white with the alternate logo.
Don’t forget! We’re undefeated since they started wearing them! -Quaintance
