Future Captain Nick Hague. I wasn’t expecting that hot take. A great deal of attention has been drawn to the three first-round picks

Man I agree with this. I like these kids, but it feels like we are putting a lot of expectations on 18 year olds to develop into superstars. Meanwhile the projection is they will be nice NHL players, second or third line depth players. If these guys are future all stars they have blown projections out of the water.

Not sure any of these kids has been pegged as a superstar. You get selecred top 15 I do expect you to make the roster one day. Hague has no pressure because he dropped into 2nd. Lawless is a company man he’s has play hype man.

I would be disappointed if Cody Glass and Nick Suzuki do not develop into at least second line players. I’m hoping that Glass is the second coming of Mark Scheifele. I’m hoping that Suzuki is the second coming of Johnny Gaudreau. But Gaudreau is probably a pipe dream.
I would be disappointed if Erik Brännström isn’t the second coming of Torey Krug. I’m hoping that Brännström is the second coming of Ryan Ellis.
I am guessing that Hague is very mature for his age.
