Gentlemen, just finished listening to the podcast, and if LV decides to take Fluery, that would not be a bad thing. I am not a big fan of the guy, but in his defense, he has won a Stanley Cup. That would be a hard resume filler to pass up. Pittsburgh will go through a lot of machinations to keep Murray, so LV might be able to make a deal. Very few teams have two cup winning goalies. If any others do.

As for Jason’s guy, Capuano, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE TAKE HIM AND THE REST OF HIS COACHING STAFF, NOW!!! As an Islanders fan, I’d rather have some guy that they can find off the street to coach. Any guy. He and his staff make very few adjustments and they have spent the last three years making questionable, at best, lineup decisions. He constantly benches young players that should be playing every day or at least a majority of the time. And if they aren’t, then they should be somewhere where they are. He talks about “accountability”, but that’s only for certain players. I understand your not going to bench John Tavares, but everyone else should not get a free pass. He keeps combinations together that don’t work, because he thinks they are. For example, Nick Leddy & Travis Hamonic are both top pair defensemen, but as a pair they are having as bad a season that they have had in their time in the league, yet every game they are still together. They clearly just don’t click as a pair. Doesn’t matter to Capuano.

So, I say again, take him NOW!
