Again, hypothetically speaking, is it a stretch to think the acquisition of Marnier was the VGK preparing for an exit by Eichel?

Another option is to use that $ on other players. Just sayin its not a slam dunk. Personally id prefer a 3/4 year term.

Yes i said same thing about Petro a few weeks ago, leaving a BIG HOLE in defense. Time for youngsters to step up. He was monster on D. Will the new guy step up. Will Hannifin step up, will McNab show signs of aging? With addition of D minded forwards the D should be Ok. I am talking about Marner and new forward from Smashville. They should have 50% of ice time helping out on D. Something not mentioned in the long podcast.
