It’s time to rebuild what has been torn down over the past few months (or maybe even years). How can the Golden Knights go about rebuilding their loveable image to a fan base that has been spurned by many of the recent moves? Hosted by Ken Boehlke and Jason Pothier.
- “Rebranding” the team?
- The new face of the franchise
- A flower as the center circle?!?

“Rebranding the team”? ….. Still the VGK, aren’t they.
“The new face of the franchise”? ….. Living in a PANDA world, oh yea!
“A flower as a the center circle”? ….. Would that be dead flowers.
“Business as usual”? ….. Foley is Foley.
“Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi” ….. Sorry, sinbin is doomed.

everyone knows Doc is “Jason’s boy” , yet he seems fit to bash the mouth that feeds him. Not a good look at all for old Doc.

Billy Buckner is not a good face for franchise to have. Paying someone 7 million a year to flop more than once in Stanley Cup playoffs is not something to be proud of.
His “flower” was dusted years ago.
Seattle Crackheads did it right, they picked a younger goalie who has upside.
Rita Homan
No no…you guys were right…You are negative about the tram

hey Rita H. welcome to the jungle !

I don’t think the fan base will ever be the same. We had three years after our first year run to go to the finals. @San Jose should have never got to game 7, Dallas the second choke job, if that wasn’t bad enough Montreal the 4th seat in the North division choke #3. Most teams would give there left nut to do what we’ve done so I get that. When the chips are on the table we fold. What contender ever had there captain go scoreless in a 6 game series none I know of. I have zero faith in this team ever getting to the finals just to many mistakes. Glass and Suzuki drafted same year whoever thought Glass was better then Suzuki should be fired. Our blue line was fine getting Petro at 8.8 million instead of a center was another blunder. Fleury would have signed for 5 million after the Misfit year he loved Vegas and then we wouldn’t have the Lehner problem. The commotion the whole Fleury situation caused could have been avoided. I enjoy watching the Knights but keep my expectations low makes watching the team more relaxing. Now they bring some rejects in from other teams hoping something works to erase the Cody Glass fiasco. As they’ve said on the national hockey channels the last couple of years Vegas is always chasing it’s tail.

Said it before and I will say it again. Nothing has gone right (trade/cap wise) since firing turk. That move was horse shit and should have been done after the season. Deboer+Lehner+Pietranglo = salary cap issues and still no fucking center help.
Tim
Blitz well said playing Colorado for the Presidents Trophy with 15 players was a joke. You wonder why we ran out of gas in the playoffs. Obviously they can’t manage the cap and firing Turk who was a players coach just adds to all the bullshit. Question if Turk was so bad why would the Rangers hire him. Loyalty on this team is non existent it’s all about the cup and how they reach that goal no matter what the body count or how they alienate the fan base.
THE hockey GOD
@ TIm there is no such thing as “loyalty” in professional sports. Look at Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, Wayne Greztky, etc. etc. Loyalty is non existent in sports, waste of time to get your knickers in a twist.

THG, As most people know I’m a baseball guy and yes there is loyalty. Example The L.A. Dodgers had an infield of Cey, Russell, Lopes, and Garvey for 10 years there was loyalty and believe me they didn’t win the World Series but did they try to upgrade every year no. That’s a class organization. Not the only team I can name more but you get the idea.
THE hockey GOD
half of that infield ended up playing for other teams after the dodgers, a very weak example since none of them were of same caliber as HOWE, HULL, ORR , GRETSKI in their respective sports. All of which the aforementioned ended up playing for multiple teams AFTER their stardom in with their respective teams of Detroit, Chicago, Boston, and Edmonton. There is no such thing as loyalty on either side , including FO and fan base.
And most Dodger fans FROM LA are scumbags. I remember them coming into downtown San Diego starting fights , making crude comments, brawling. Left over LA RAIDER scum. No wonder fans chant BEAT LA , BEAT LA, BEAT LA. The fan base is not what is used to be. You go to dodger stadium these days and it’s mostly filled with hoods, gangstas, illegal aliens, and scum. The only real safe seats are those behind the dugout if you can afford them.
Not a good example. You are living in the 60s. And likely haven’t been to Dodger Stadium or LA for that matter recently. It has really turned into a third world shiiite hole. Beverly Hills is now getting infiltrated by swathes of homeless people. It’s pitiful what the far left has done to this city.

14. Peter DeBoer, Vegas Golden Knights. The results should be good enough to keep him secure but the Golden Knights have proven to be the most ruthless, cutthroat organization in the league when it comes to making changes.
– from NBC NHL article two days ago about coaches on the hot seat.
THE hockey GOD
so one coach change makes it a ruthless team??? NBC ??? fake news.

NBC Sports, not News, This has been a fun site until a few decide to politicize it.
Ken & Jason – really appreciate your site the bs w some of these comments is crazy.

THG your right about LA being a shit hole sad to say it’s not the California of my youth. A lot has changed in my 76 years on this earth. Bean fields and orange groves have been replaced with rows of tents and homeless people. The fact still remains that that group of Dodgers played together a long time. Could they have improved any of there infield positions sure but they didn’t there was unity. Similar to the first Misfit year which is now almost non existent. To clarify I’m actually from Orange County bad but not as bad as LA. What management does is no concern of mine they did a great job in the expansion draft and have been playing off that success for the last three years. Like I’ve said Vegas is a funny town they’ll drop you in a heartbeat. You saw the first signs of that when they were booing in that Montreal loss at home. I personally don’t have the same connection to the team I’ll watch and go on Sin Bin and listen to all the woulda shoulda coulda cup talk but that ship has sailed. We choked the last 3 years when it happens again it will be 4 in a row and in baseball when you strike out 4 times in a game they call it The Golden Sombrero. Don’t get me wrong I hope the Knights win but a reality check of our leaders and there production doesn’t fare well when the money’s down.

@ Tim I was in the OC for nearly a month in July. Still waiting for slip to open up for yacht (life) in John Wayne’s old Newport beach ! I would say the team is building character with all their “choking”. Most teams have to figure out how to win the SC, and they do it by losing first. It’s nearly impossible to buy the Cup (unless you were the HABS of yesteryear who had the pick of the litter when they were racking up all those SC trophies.
When I lived in OC I used to go to following iconic places: Hollywood Park on a Friday night when all the stars came out (nothing like it), the old Forum, Griffith Park when you could actually see the sky at night, Dodger Stadium, Santa Monica pier, Georgio’s in Malibu (don’t know if that is still there), Gladstones, and the infamous Red Onions (in Seal Beach and NB) where girls danced so bad their clothes fell off.
Tim
THG I was in Huntington Beach, Newport Beach was one way and Sunset Beach to Seal Beach the other way. Usually hung around the pier in Huntington Beach, Santa Monica was fun. If your waiting for a slip at Newport for your yacht your doing ok. Haven’t been to Callie for a few years no interest. We used to eat at Duke’s and there’s an outdoor place that made the best Philly Cheese steak sandwiches on Beach not far from the 101 you should try it when your down there. Anyway good to reminisce but that was yesterday. I thought about my Golden Sombrero comment hears a thought. When we lose again this year to make it 4 in a row we should or I will relabel the Vegas Golden Knights, to The Vegas Golden Sombrero’s. I thought that was pretty clever. Hey were all hear for fun so sometimes you’ve got to make light of the situation.
THE hockey GOD
i think golden chicken chokers would be up there. I believe Duke’s used to be called Maxwell’s if I am not mistaken.
Tim
We can all throw a name in a hat but I still like Vegas Golden Sombrero’s.
