Every time I see pictures or even the rendered images of the stadium, there’s one small feature that sticks out. It’s the outside deck on the east side of the arena facing the Strip.

There’s even one picture that shows it up close that literally has me drooling.

I have to admit, I’m a stadium geek. Every stadium I go to I spend the first hour or so walking around, exploring, and trying to find all the coolest nooks and crannies of the arena. This particular gem isn’t going to be hard to find, but there’s a good chance it’s going to be the coolest (or warmest) spot to hang out before, after, or during intermission of games.

People-watching is a great past time here in Vegas, and this will absolutely offer an excellent spot to do just that as it will overlook the new MGM/New York New York “park” that will sit beneath it.

I have a dream of doing a live postgame show from that SkyDeck (I’m calling it that until they tell me otherwise) with masses of diehard (enter team name here) fans watching and celebrating a win.

There will undoubtably be 50+ more awesome things to talk about when the stadium gets closer to opening, but I thought this one deserved a mention today, just 230 days before the cathedral opens.
