Barbashev And Hague Latest VGK Players Rumored To Be On The Move

  1. Jack Hammer

The Hammer believes that a potential trade of Nic Hague would be a good fit for the Philadelphia Flyers. They have available wingers and draft capital if the Golden Knights chose to go that route.

  2. Jose

Hey Jack, don’t think they are looking at taking any salary back. Maybe one of the flyers first round picks. 22nd or 32nd pick. Maybe they get more. Hague is not elite but he is young, a very large man and playoff experienced. That is valuable.

    • Pistol Pete

Exactly right Jose. No salary coming back. McCrimmon needs to create cap space for a top
line winger and extend Smith, Saad perhaps even Olofsson. The names I have suggested of Barbashev, Roy and Whitecloud are beginning to pop up in the media. Maybe they read PP…just kidding lol. Over $20m space by way of all three.

Hague they should get a pick or two. One if he’s offersheeted.

      • Emmanuel

Its been over 10 days Barbashev/Hague/Whitecloud have been mentioned as being on the block. Havent seen Roy.

Its a mistake to bring back more than 1 of Smith/Saad/Vegas Vic. Id take Olo, at least he can score goals & ONLY under 2M$/year.

  3. William Clark

    4 outta 10 correct.

I don’t need to go to the Prnicpal’s Office?

  4. Pistol Pete

I doubt McCrimmon considers Bennett a better fit than Marner (salary aside).

    Sam Bennett (age 28–6’1” 193–2014 #4):

    .48 pts/game
    19 G/82 games
    2.26 shots/game
    -21

    Mitch Marner (age 28–6’0” 180–2015 #4):

1.13 pts/game (ninth among active players)
    28 G/82 games
    2.53 pts/game
    +128

    • Emmanuel

Im glad you omitted assists. I think that skews a players value.

      • Pistol Pete

Marner has 75 assists this season. That matters no matter how one looks at it.

It’s up to McCrimmon. Cassidy and their staffs to determine if Marner’s playmaking stands to enhance Eichel’s goal scoring and Eichel’s the same for Marner. Both are elite transporters of the puck, stickhandlers and distributors and both have strong accurate shots.

        • Emmanuel

It matters but it skews value.

Primary assists tell you something about a player, secondary assists are iffy and probably shouldnt have been counted to begin with but that horse left the barn decades ago.

Ive imagined Eichel/Stone/Marner endlessly cycling on the PP but never taking a shot. A bad joke of course but with a grain of truth to it.

    • Pistol Pete

Bennett plays above his regular season stats in the playoffs especially this season (10 G/6 A: 17 games) though his career playoffs pts/game remain well below Marner’s (Marner’s underwhelming playoff results have become cliche; personally I think they stand to improve on the right team).

      Playoffs:

      Bennett:
      .71 pts/game
      28 G/82 games
      2.77 shots/game
      +7

      Marner:
      .90 pts/game
      15 G/82 games
      2.30 shots/game
      +9

Bennett does shoot and score more in the playoffs than Marner but not neither one in the regular season. Marner is very much more the gifted player and stands to ramp up in the playoffs. AIMHO.

  6. What makes everyone think Bennett is even available????? Marner while a great player isn’t worth what everyone believes it will take to sign him.

    • Pistol Pete

Agree FLA may want to re-sign Bennett with his consent. He scored again in game one. As for Marner, as I recall you did not support acquiring Eichel.

  7. Tim

Latest word Marchy is coming back to the Knights. Nashville can’t stand him and it won’t take much to get him back. While were getting the old gang together. Alex Buch may be on the trading block so forget Marner let’s get Buch. You hockey wizards say yeh or nah?

    • knights fan in minny

its tuch Marchy Is not coming back go take your pill

      • Emmanuel

Emphasis on “old”. You know players constantly improve/decline year to year and then suddenly drop off in their early 30s.

I just read on a Flames website that their belief VGK is just getting older and is becoming a middle of the pack team due to across the board aging.
I dont agree because front mgmt will swap out players constantly.
Their “pickups” (more like reclamation projects) last year were pretty much a broken reed.

    • TS

      Tim, do you mean TUCH?

  8. Jack Hammer

Jack Hammer agrees. Bring em all back!! ha ha ha

I like you Tim. You don’t take things too seriously.

  9. Pistol Pete

Skinner now has fantastic stats coming back after a benching beginning with us. It’s clear now him shutting us out twice in a row was no fluke and contrary to the narrative we were playing all the weaker for it happening. I always questioned that. He looked sharp to me. Players can be streaky at any position.

    • Emmanuel

Especially at G. its almost as if they are all plug and play……..

  10. Donald J Trump

why the DEMS will get crushed in next mid terms, they are on wrong side of trans and illegal aliens

In a shocking display of judicial overreach, a federal judge appointed by Joe Biden has temporarily blocked President Donald Trump from deporting the wife and five children of Mohamed Sabry Soliman, the Egyptian terrorist who firebombed a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado. U.S. District Judge Gordon Gallagher, a Biden loyalist, sided with the family of a man who committed a heinous act of terrorism, further proving the left’s prioritization of illegal immigrants over American safety.

On June 1, 2025, Soliman—a 45-year-old Egyptian national—launched a brutal attack on innocent demonstrators, injuring twelve people with Molotov cocktails and a flamethrower while screaming “Free Palestine.” The FBI rightly classified this as both a terrorist attack and a hate crime, yet the liberal media and activist judges seem more concerned with protecting his family than delivering justice for the victims. Soliman, who entered the U.S. legally in 2022 under Biden’s weak immigration policies, was illegally present at the time of the attack due to an expired visa.

Despite this, CNN rushed to paint Soliman’s family as victims, reporting: “U.S. District Judge Gordon P. Gallagher granted a request from the family of Mohamed Sabry Soliman to halt deportation proceedings of his wife and five children who were taken into federal custody Tuesday by U.S. immigration officials.” The network conveniently omitted the fact that ICE was enforcing the law by detaining individuals who had no legal right to remain in the country.

President Trump, a staunch defender of law and order, has consistently taken a tough stance against terrorism and illegal immigration. His administration’s swift action to detain and deport those with ties to terrorism should be applauded—not obstructed by activist judges. The left’s obsession with shielding illegal immigrants, even those connected to violent extremists, is a direct threat to national security.

    • Tim

What used to be called the Democratic party is now the Communist party and are so far left they can’t see the forest from the trees. Every day someones from there party is announcing a tell all book it’s laughable. Whoever was signing for Biden is a treasonous offense in anyones logical mind and should be punished to the full extent of the law.

      • Donald J Trump

yes Tim, I hear you, unfortunately, as I understand it

What is the autopen and its legal standing?
An autopen is a device that reproduces a person’s signature automatically.
The use of autopens by presidents is recognized by the Justice Department as valid for signing legislation and pardons, so long as the president authorized its use.
There’s no U.S. law requiring a president to physically sign a document for it to be valid.
In fact, the Constitution doesn’t even explicitly require pardons to be in writing.
        Trump’s allegations and the controversy:
Trump has claimed, that Biden’s administration used the autopen to sign documents, including pardons, without Biden’s knowledge or authorization.
He argues that this use of the autopen was “disgraceful” and potentially constitutes “the biggest political scandal in American history,” aside from the 2020 election.
Trump has also used an autopen himself, but claims it was only for “unimportant papers”.
In summary, while the legality and proper use of the autopen by presidents has been debated, particularly in the context of recent political accusations.

      • TS

You’re kidding, right? The absurd ” autopen” Maga conspiracy is a JOKE, right?

        • TS

SUE THAT AUTOPEN FOR IMPERSONATING A REAL SIGNATURE!! LAWSUIT, LAWSUIT!!
