The Golden Knights started this season red-hot offensively. In the first 11 games, they averaged a whopping 4.55 goals per game and blew teams away. Then, it slowed down a bit and even with the hot start the number has come down to 3.56 per game. In December, when VGK have been excellent at 10-2-0, they’re down to 3.33 goals per night.
There’s one aspect to the scoring that has been massive in helping the Golden Knights win games on a nightly basis. This year Vegas has scored three consecutive goals in a game on 17 separate occasions, more than all but two other teams in the NHL. In those 17 games, they are 16-1-0 with the only loss coming at Edmonton. In fact, in the last three years, Vegas is an unbelievable 103-4-3.
The Golden Knights have done this in four of the last six games and it’s been the catalyst in every game. Against Vancouver, Seattle, and San Jose, Vegas went from down a goal to up two before the opposing team got on the scoreboard again.
Of course, because sports are cruel, this article was scheduled to run after the game against Montreal because VGK have scored three unanswered in five of the seven previous regular season meetings. Then, the game yesterday happens, and it’s the Habs who score three straight to flip the game on Vegas. Nonetheless, it further highlights the importance of scoring three straight.
New Jersey and Winnipeg are tied for the league lead, each having scored three or more straight in a game 19 times. Unsurprisingly, these are the two other teams along with VGK atop the standings this season. On the flip side, Anaheim has done it just four times all year. Detroit has done it six times, and San Jose, Calgary, Chicago, and the New York Rangers have each done it just seven times.
The current pace has the Golden Knights set to score three straight goals in a game 39 times this season. The last three seasons they did it 33, 29, and 31 times. Last year’s Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers have the most in the last three seasons with 43.
VGK like to pick on the Pacific Division when they are stacking goals. They’ve done it nine times in the last three and a half seasons to each of San Jose and Seattle, and they have done it at least five times to every team in the division.
New Year’s Eve was a chance for the Golden Knights to do it once again. They couldn’t, and it was ultimately their undoing. However, that game stands as an outlier on the season as a whole, and with a bundle of home games coming up on the schedule, you can pretty much count on Vegas scoring three straight soon.

The lesson learned from this is avoid foreign influence and power mongers, as jezebel was a Bhaal worshipping foreigner who disavowed her oath to worship Yahweh and went on power mongering ways. Her evil was noted, by prophet Elijah.
What Does Jezebel’s Life Teach Us?
Many wonder whether Jezebel’s actions of makeup and fine clothing were meant to either seduce Jehu or as a stand against her murderer, but either way, Jezebel’s stand before death doesn’t drift too far from the command of attention and control that she expressed throughout her reign as queen.
If anything, Jezebel is forever synonymous with someone who carved her own path that may or may not have been for the betterment of others, or even herself. Some may admire her for her actions that changed the trajectory of her husband’s leadership of Israel, while others might see her actions as someone who rejected the Lord’s desire for a woman to a peaceful blessing with her husband (Prov. 3:10-16), instead of being a woman who sought success through dangerous, murderous actions.
However you look at Jezebel and her murderous reign, her story shows that when someone kills one of God’s people (which is anyone), He will make sure that person’s plans through these actions don’t succeed well. God is sovereign and though punishment may not be immediate for wrongdoers like Jezebel, punishment is inevitable for those who remain outside of God’s family.
