The Golden Knights and Calvin Pickard held a contest to design the artwork on the former Avalanche goalie’s mask. Finally, after nearly a month of anticipation, the mask was revealed at an informal practice at City National Arena.

Later in the day the Golden Knights Instagram posted some up close photos of the new headgear.
Pickard also stopped by FOX 5 to chat with intrepid hockey reporter Vince Sapienza.
We got the Golden Knights logo here, Royal Flush here, with my name through it, PICKS and the alternate logo on this side. On this side, a Knight in fighting terms, Bellagio, T-Mobile Arena, getting a taste of all sorts of Vegas. It really worked out, there were a lot of creative minds out there that did some drawings and it’s nice to have the finished product. -Pickard to FOX 5
As for that mask that Pickard wore on Monday? Turns out it’s a backup for Fleury.
I've been told this is NOT the official mask from the contest. Nonetheless, that mask is really cool. https://t.co/unuLizn8Pm

The winner of the contest is a diehard SinBinner and has been since the inception of the site, Shawn Hickey. You may know Shawn from the very familiar “costume” he wore to the Expansion Draft.
Here’s the submission he sent in that was deemed the Grand Prize winner.

Meant to take a picture of the front of Pickard's mask, wound up with a masterpiece of photography. #HockeyAndMountains pic.twitter.com/Gq1OshveIF
