Easiest Stretches Of Golden Knights’ 2024-25 Schedule

Yesterday we examined the toughest stretch of the 2024-25 regular season. Today, the focus in on the softer spots in the schedule where the Golden Knights can really make inroads in the standings.

Here’s a look at the three easiest stretches of the year for this year’s Golden Knights.

After returning home from a three-game trip to Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Minnesota, the Golden Knights will spend nearly an entire month at home in Las Vegas. 10 of 12 games around Christmas are scheduled at T-Mobile Arena with the only two games away from home both short trips to San Jose. The entire stretch begins with three days off, there are three more for Christmas, an early game on New Year’s Eve, and two more days off before the second trip to the Shark Tank. Of the 12 opponents, just two made the playoffs last year and seven of them are against teams that finished in the Bottom 10. Finally, half of the games feature the opponent playing a part of a back-to-back. Vancouver, Anaheim, Calgary, and Minnesota are all visiting Vegas on the second night of the B2B, and Seattle and San Jose each have the Golden Knights as the first leg of one. It’s a dream month at the perfect time of the year to run away from the rest of the Pacific Division.

February 22nd to March 9th
VAN, @LAK, CHI, NJD, TOR, PIT, LAK

Directly out of the bye week and 4 Nations Face-off the Golden Knights have an ideal schedule. Having just returned from a 13-day hiatus, Vegas gets six home games out of seven, zero back-to-backs, and multiple days between games on three separate occasions. Even the only road game is as simple of a travel day as the Golden Knights can face, a trip to Los Angeles with a day off before and two afterward. VGK have soared out of the break many times before and the scheduling gods appear to have given them the perfect runway to do so again in 2024-25.

October 22nd to November 5th
LAK, OTT, SJS, CGY, @LAK, UTA

An early season opportunity for the Golden Knights to stack together some wins comes between games 7 and 12. It starts with a division matchup at home against the Kings which features two days off both before and after the game. Then, as easy of a back-to-back as the NHL offers, Vegas will face Ottawa at 3 PM on Friday and San Jose at 7 PM on Saturday, both at T-Mobile Arena. The stretch ends with VGK’s first look at the Utah Hockey Club. The Golden Knights will be looking for revenge against a team made up mostly of former Coyotes that handed Vegas one of the most embarrassing losses in franchise history late last year. It’s not unreasonable to think the Golden Knights could nick all 12 points in this 6 game stretch. Anything less than 9 would be disappointing.
