Yet again, the Golden Knights are off to a red-hot start under Bruce Cassidy. This year’s team is scoring goals at an incredible rate, too. That makes for a lot of fun gifs. Here are the best ones from the first two weeks of the year.
Click through to see the rest, and be patient, it takes a while for them all to load properly.
**Huge shoutout to Everett, The Gif King, in the SinBin Discord for pulling these clips.**

The Smith goal was a perfect storm of luck and skill. Stopped the pass, while still barely in the zone. The puck then goes 90 degree, barely staying in the zone. Vegas player in perfect position to pick it up and pass it. Smith smart enough just to go at the net and not chase the puck. It was beautifully perfect from a VGK perspective.

I guess we could see Howden up there on the Eichel line. Jesse Granger suggested it in his article on the Stone injury. Maybe, that would move Saad back down to the fourth. I suspect Saad is still better than Howden. Sure was in his prime. We’ll see what Cassidy does.

It will keep us all guessing
Larry
First things first, Saad is not in his prime, like on a container ( I almost said bottle but that would have been a big tell on my age lol) of milk, it is still useful for a short time after the date before moving on from it.
Secondly and most importantly, Saad can in NO WAY compare to Howden in the present day of the Golden Knights, Howden is truly a Swiss Army knife , and in baseball parlance an excellent utility man that can be utilized in a myriad of settings.
Larry
Actually the bottom half of my post somehow did not go through and it was meant for you Tim, when I made reference to a utility man in baseball, it should have said like a Campy Campeneris or Cesar Tovar.

If the choice is between Saad and Howden on the 1st line, in Stones absence, do you really think one is a bunch ahead of the other? Saad looked pretty good the other night. What is Howden going to do here that really makes a large difference? Now on the other hand Howden vs Saad on the 4th line. Who makes it better? I would say Howden by a wide margin, because he is bigger and more physical which is an advantage for this line’s role. My gut here says that Saad is going to have a pretty good road trip on L1. Let’s find out.
Larry
We have said and exhausted our thoughts on this individual and relationship to the team we cheer and root for, we all hope for the best and don’t need it to be a ‘ he said she said’ back and forth, let’s let the play on the ice be the ultimate indicator on this subject.
Pistol Pete
Agreed!
Tim
Stone, Hannifin, and Hill out sucks to say the least. Big road trip coming with Tampa, Florida, and Carolina now that without 3 good players out will be a mountain to climb. It’s been a fun start let’s keep it going.
JB
Yea it will be a tuff trip Tim. I’m hoping for 3-4 points out of it? Hey who you rooting for in the series? I’m going for LA!
Jose
Let’s go Golden Knights. (And Blue Jays as well)

Hannafin went to IR
Pistol Pete
IR or LTIR?
IR I when they are expected to miss seven or more days. He’s at that.
LTIR is expected to miss 10 games or more and 24 days or more.
Emmanuel
LOL.
Banking cap space for the deadline?

The cap space rule has changed from last year. Pistol Pete probably has a better understanding than I do maybe he can explain the new rules.

Take it for what you will, I’m just an internet commenter but I have it on very good authority that Hanifin broke a thumb and had surgery last week or so. Not sure we can expect him back soon but maybe (hopefully) I’m wrong
