Praise Be To Foley, Vegas Golden Knights Hockey Website

Recap: The Golden Knights traveled to Winnipeg for their second game of a back-to-back. Logan Thompson started in net for the fourth straight game and held the game scoreless after the opening 20 minutes.

Although being outshot 17-4 the Jets took the first lead of the game six minutes into the middle period. Later in the period Winnipeg doubled their lead and took a 2-0 advantage into the second intermission.

Trailing 2-0 the Golden Knights continued to fire the puck on net but couldn’t generate any offense. Winnipeg added two more and shutdown Vegas to seal a 4-0 victory.

The Golden Knights record drops to 34-28-4 falling 4-0. Vegas will try and get back on the winning track Thursday night at The Fortress. Puck drop against Nashville is set for 7 PM. (Recap by Jason)

Analysis: The Golden Knights fell into an all too familiar trap. They flung plenty of chances on the goal, but didn’t create nearly enough dangerous chances and never had the ability to beat Connor Hellebuyck. It’s another 40 shot on goal loss, the 11th of the season. (Recap by Ken)

Twitter Space – Assigning Fault For Dadonov Trade Snafu – March 22nd, 2022

NHL Pundits Puzzled By Dadonov Dilemma

  1. Witches brew and spells and Hockey Gods took a big shit on the Golden Knights tonight. Two posts and a crossbar along with at least 12 high danger chances all saved by Hellybuck who had the best game of any goalie in the history of the NHL tonight.

    • Henderson One

All opposition goalies become All Stars when they face the VGK. We have great shooters but not great scorers.

  2. Kegel

start rebuilding VGK and quit making stupid trades

  3. A former season ticket holder

As a former season ticket holder can’t say or feel anything else but but just a total loss and a void inside

  4. Paul Stasny & Nate Schmidt are smiling just a little bit more broader tonight than usual after a win, ya think?

  5. Mike StG

Cheer up boys! Vegas has a shot at Shane Wright!

    • Pistol Pete

Is it really worth it for SEA to finish last to get Wright? That’s Howard’s method for an expansion team. Finish last and develop your picks. No short cuts. Build from within. The right way. No buying of talent. It’s not good money management.

Doesn’t matter that the VGK took the more progressive approach making the Finals their first season and the Conference Finals two out of the next three. Still better to take the conservative approach like the Kraken. Be pure. Build from within!

      • THE hockey GOD

you realize NHL has a lottery system , and VGK will have to finish well below where they are now in standings to even get a shot at no. 1 pick ?

the best vGK can do right now is finish with a top ten pick and then not lose their no. 1 pick (although I think they lose two number two picks if they lose their no. 1 pick ), if I understand the conditions for Eichel trade.

  6. Jim

from 1st year heroes to 5th year zeros

    • Please, please, please. There’s like 4 or 5 guys left from year 1 thanks to McCriminal. You can bet Paul Stasny and Nate Schmidt are celebrating a bit extra tonight for shutting out their old team.

    • Pistol Pete

It would help if they had their top two wingers, the top scorers Eichel notwithstanding, You did not really forget that did you? Just kidding.

    • Pistol Pete

Missing half the roster including the top two scoring wingers. That makes them zeroes alright. Very sound reasoning!

  7. DL

I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of these letdown games, and all the breaks for “Now this from Naqvi Injury Law”….two reasons to turn off the TV, or maybe it’s just me.

  8. the hockey God

make no mistake about it , VGK is fielding a roster half full of AHLers, and the NHLers on the roster are schooling them. Many time in last two games in which the veterans were asking for passes/plays and AHLers had their sticks up their keysters.

    AHLER and pretenders on rosters : 55, 43, 15, 41, 42, 52, 36 (ghoulie), 65- eight players.
Eichel ten million dollar = invisible man.

out of playoffs, boris deal like nixed by NHL as FO tries ploy to get some SAL CAP relief in remaining games.

    • the hockey God

      likely nixed that is

    • I think it was the 2nd goal from the right circle, #7 was completely out of position. It wasn’t an AHL defenseman. #7 is earning his minuses. I thought they played a game that they should have won. Once again an opposing goalie has an all star night against the VGK.

      It’s getting old.

      • the hockey God

no 7 was compensating for the extremely poor play of partner no., 17 in the last two games , who was frequently out of position, slow on the pass; one of the worst stretches of play. The body language of no. 7 says that no. 17 should know better.

the same with roy , he was pissed so many times on errant passes from his ahler line mates. You could see it in his body language, shaking is head, and looking up.

        AHLers are getting schooled.

        • Well, the bright side is the AHLers are getting some experience. This team isn’t going anywhere. I think we will see Smith sign elsewhere after this season. We won’t likely see him in a Golden Knight jersey ever again.

          • BeHumble

Good, dude has not shown up in two seasons.

          • THE hockey GOD

if smith signs elsewhere it proves that Vegas is not the shiny spot anymore, he’s going same route as Fluery (who really didn’t want to be here), james neal, perron, and a few others.

You can’t have it both waves, seems like Dadanov wants to be here, must be crazy russian picking vegas of beaches of ORange County.

          • Daryl

Is it Dadonov wanted to stay here or just that he didn’t want to go where he was being sent???

          • Dadanov doesn’t want to live in Communist California and have 40% of his income garnished by the State……

      • Daryl

That’s the issue I’m having…. We can say what we want about injuries and missing players, but even the NHL players we have arent playing well. They are out of position, making bad passes, missing shots on net…. And to hear some fans on here use excuses like compensating for other players is just laughable. That could be an excuse if their partners were out of position on that particular play also but they weren’t. Some just want to make excuses on here

        • THE hockey GOD

as usual the daily bull shit post from hillbilly who doesn’t know shit about fuck, or fuck about shit, or shit about shit.

can’t even watch a game and SEE what’s going on, let alone understand what they see in first place.

take your stalking bull shit elsewhere, you clueless bastard, every post you make is laughable. Another insult by someone who cries why do you insult me, then whines about it when he is bitch slapped back in his face. What a Gomer.

          • Daryl

Is someone a little upset??? You may want to take your meds before you have a heart attack…. I’m sure it’s no good to get so upset! hahahaha

          • THE hockey GOD

you are the one making outlandish posts again, seek therapy , lots of it. You need it, maybe get a eye check while you are at it.

          • Daryl

May want to get your meds checked…

          • Man, your insults are TOP TIER TODAY, thg. If ANYONE attacked YOU with the venom you exhibit, you’d BLOW YOUR BRAIN UP!!
People are posting OPINIONS. JUST. LIKE. YOU.

        • Spot on analysis Daryl.

Petro had no business leaving Logan’s backside unprotected like that. I don’t give a shit what he was thinking or worrying about. You play your position and don’t leave your goalie exposed like that.

If Lehner had been in goal, THE hockey GOD would be shitting all over Petro for this. But because it fits his narrative he ignores a pro defenseman being out of position.

You definitely triggered him on this!

Come on Man! Stop making shit up to fit a narrative that isn’t so.

          • THE hockey GOD

RR the replay doesn’t show that at all, learn to watch the game, you and the hillbilly sharing the same TV set ??? No.7 was with “his man’ , a bit late, because no. 17 was taking a cruise out to left field leaving the front of the net with two jets and one VGK d man.

          • It’s hockey 101 – You don’t leave your goalies blind side exposed – EVER

There is no rebuttal to that.

          • THE hockey GOD

@ TS- response to TS ., not to ANYONE, just the STALKER idiot/jerk, he has been repeatedly warned, deserves to take his medicine

“Man, your insults are TOP TIER TODAY, thg. If ANYONE attacked YOU with the venom you exhibit, you’d BLOW YOUR BRAIN UP!!
People are posting OPINIONS. JUST. LIKE. YOU.”

          • THE hockey GOD

to TS example of bull shit from this stalker clown, he posted “even said 7 was compensating for the bad play of his partner in the previous 2 games, which has nothing to do with THIS game”

i never said that at all, I said last two games (which included THIS game)
definitely a problem with comprehension. His only goal is to stalk and make up bull shit. That is what this moron does, and every time he does it , the idiot will be called out. He puts his own bull shit in other peoples’ post. What a maroon.

          • Daryl

The dictator has spoken… He will tell you when and to whom you are allowed to reply to

          • Daryl

The last two days were bad days but that doesn’t say today was a bad day, just the last two. Today could have been a great day

      • THE hockey GOD

the second goal and tipped in, no 17 and no 7 were in front of own net got signaled crossed up because no. 17 decided to go to boards completely misjudging the puck speed which he didn’t have a chance to get, leaving. no. 7 in front of net to defend two players. If no. 17 stayed in front of net, it would have given no. 7 a better chance to defend one of two Jets.

the first goal was PP goal , ping ponged right in front of no. 17, no. 7 was not at fault.

the third goal was four on four and no 20 let pass go right by him all way to other circle, no 7 was in front of his own net, the forward shooting the puck was out by circle, and no forward was defending him because the VGK forward was cherry picking.

Go watch the replays, learn to watch the game.

        • Daryl

We get it, NOTHING is ever #7 fault. Wouldn’t have been so mu h easier to just say that???

          • THE hockey GOD

another spin out post by brain dead hbilly

don’t put words in my post that are not there because , as usual, you “don’t get it”.

If you “got it” you would see that your original post , as usual, remains Bull Shit.

          • Come on. The entire right side of the ice was completely exposed and undefended.

            NO FUCKING EXCUSE #7.

          • THE hockey GOD

the replay says other wise, learn to watch the game, or maybe get a new TV set

“Come on. The entire right side of the ice was completely exposed and undefended.

NO FUCKING EXCUSE #7” , No. 7 was in front of his net where he belongs. You first say he was out of position , then you say he was in front of net. You can’t have it both ways. On FOUR ON FOUR that was the forward’s man who was CHERRY PICKING, plus no. 20 let that pass through.

          • Daryl

RR… There really is no use to try to esplain it to the hockey goof.

Goof even said 7 was compensating for the bad play of his partner in the previous 2 games, which has nothing to do with THIS game l

  9. Frank

What hasn’t been fixed – scoring. What has deteriorated – defense and goaltending. Not a winning combo. Well suppose for the rest of the season we’ll see who the real fans are.

  10. Justin

Ahh the wife and I were just reminiscing about the good old days…when the Knights scored goals. Fond, fond memories…

  11. With 16 games left McIdiot needs to figure out how to get McNabb, Martinez, Stone and Patches back on the ice. The $10,000,000 man can’t do it by himself.

    • DL

And ENOUGH of “Now this from Naqvi Injury Law.”

    • the hockey God

ED is not the solution. Maybe Oliver Wendall Douglas ?
      Perry Mason?
      Matlock ?
Columbo ? Oh wait, he’s not a liar.
Johnnie Cochrane ??? if the glove don’t fit.

  13. We make any goalie we play against look like the best in the league. Have the boo’s started at T-Mobile? I don’t go any more because it’s not worth the $2 bus ride.

  14. Don’t look now but Vancouver is 4 points back with a possible 4 points in hand! We could slip to 5th place in the Pacific.

  15. Galdom

Even the most optimistic must know that the season is over.

    • Daryl

With all the injuries I still felt VGK was a playoff team, being in the Pacific. I expected a first round exit unless they got a lot of players back and I would have been OK with that. I still think missing the playoffs is a failed season

  16. knights fan in minny

ouch 4 rip at least the raiders got davante adams

  17. Daryl

This is my problem with this team and it has nothing to do with injuries…. VGK just isn’t generating good scoring chances. They are all too happy to take outside shots. With the injuries VGK has my expectations arent very high but even with the seasoned players they should be getting better shot selections

    • Daryl

Then you have PDB saying their goalie had a Vezina level game but March says we had too many shots from the outside. So which is it? It’s funny, it seems as every goalie VGK faces is having a Vezina style game that day, at least according to PDB

      • vgk21

Exactly right. the Vgk simply do not go to the front of the net. there were numerous rebounds kicked out by Hellebuyck, but no one in a Vgk sweater was there to put it back in.

THAT is partly on the coaching staff. they simply do not emphasize going to the net. they continue for years now to allow their team to float around the perimeter, take soft 60 ft shots, and then say after the game, oh well we got 40+ shots, we’re playin’ great, but the breaks are just not going our way.

Bullshit, you gotta EARN your breaks, you gotta MAKE your breaks. and you gotta bench guys until they do it the right way. send a message. and you also have to get a GM who is willing to trade for and draft big guys who are net front guys, and quit bringing in more fancy dans.

Carrier is the only guy who regularly goes to the net, but he has no finish in his game.

the top 6 Vgk forwards are all perimeter fancy floaters, who pose zero problems for opposing teams who simply stay in their tight box, and let the fancy crap accomplish nothing, until it is turned over for an odd man break the other way.

  18. Not being a glutton for punishment, I wisely turned the channel in the 3rd period. I can’t watch our team fall apart. Must be brutal for the guys, knowing they’re outmanned, outgunned, outplayed because of the monumental roster depletion. There is little to nothing the guys can do at this late point, but HOPE THE SEASON ENDS QUICKLY.
NOT any one player’s fault. Not team’s fault. Injury is a Season- killing BITCH!!

    • Pistol Pete

The REAL TS, like me you are a voice of reason. Always good to hear from you.

  19. Pistol Pete

I’m going to keep hoping for Forsberg who is now a free agent. Imo his salary will be worth Karlsson and Smith combined. Do not re-sign Smith and trade Karlsson.

    3C Patrick
    4C Howden

Yes, Forsberg makes an even more top heavy roster salary wise, however Patch is injury prone and may be approaching the end of his career.

Making the postseason seems more doubtful now than earlier, however should it happen we’ll see how Patch/Eichel Stone and the Misfit line do. If goes well the top six is set for next season. Karlsson although his offense is down does center a productive line.

The idea of acquiring Forsberg will no doubt be controversial. Naysayers will point to already too heavy roster and the cap crunch. Actually, I have not tried to figure out the numbers adding Forsberg’s $9m to EIchel, Stone, Petro and Patch. It’s probably pretty scary. In any event not re-signing Smith and trading Karlsson is close to $11m. Again, how much longer Patch is in the picture is a key piece.

    • Pistol Pete

If NSH does well in the playoffs and they agree to what Forsberg wants he’ll stay there, otherwise ten gets you one Vegas is near the top of his list. We’ll get to see him in action tomorrow.

    • Pistol Pete

Forsberg free agent = no trade

  20. THE hockey GOD

Byfield scores three points to help Kings ease past Predators
Kempe has two goals for Los Angeles; Josi point streak hits 11 for Nashville.
Gaining two more points and six points on VGK, with same number of games left. A complete collapse by LAK would allow VGK back into playoff picture if VGK manages to put together a winning streak in last 16 games. That is 32 points remaining at two points per game. There is still enough points left for LAK to fall and VGK to rise into third place in Pacific Division. However, as someone pointed above Vancouver has FOUR games in hand and are only four points behind VGK.

Maybe a run for top lottery pick is in best interest of franchise, their ploy to drop SAL CAP does not appear to be working.

Front office has lost some pretty marginal NHL players over the past year including Patrick Brown, Adam Brooks, and Poillet to waivers. That is one thing I would question on their ability or lack thereof, to maintain a roster. Although the last lost was bit unlucky because the next day they had to put two players on covid protocol. That pretty much sums up the whole season for VGK. Very bad puck luck and hockey gods are not looking favorably on the team despite incredibly good luck the first four season. Karma, anyone ?

    • Pistol Pete

EDM is up three with two games in hand. Similar positioning as Kings relative to VGK. VGK does play EDM once though. Beating out DAL for the WC is looking iffy—DAL up one four games in hand. NSH even more out of reach.

It’s looking pretty iffy. Need Stone and Martinez.

  21. THE hockey GOD

In #Chernivtsi, a star in the honor of #Russian singer Ani Lorak, who was born in this city, was removed from the Alley of Stars. Instead of condemning #Russia’s aggression, she decided to remain silent.
The star of opera singer Vasily #Gerello was also removed.

Maybe the NHL should remove some of the Russian NHL “stars” for still supporting Valdof Putlir; no. 8 of the CAPS comes to mind. His silence is complicity. But when it comes to kneeling or supporting the pervert agenda, these “stars” are not silent. Screw the Russian players in NHL , I have no use for them and their double standard hypocrisy.

  22. Henderson's Finest

First time poster, but years of hockey knowledge.
It’s hard to build chemistry when half of the team in on the sidelines. But it is up to the coach to find that chemistry and use it. It is up to the coach to motivate his team. It should be obvious that DeBoer has lost the room. I doubt he finishes the year. So who takes over the reigns and gets the most out of this group?

It has to be a big name with a resume, as Foley and company need a front man. The best name out there that comes to mind is John Tortorella. Torts has a Cup, taken many teams deep in the playoffs, has a reputation of being hard ass. If the window is truly 2 to 4 years, he is your best bet. His resume shows about an average of about 5 years before he “moves on”. In that time, he has the players in place to bring the Holy Grail to Vegas.

Their position on this, and many other things, is detrimental to the sport in my opinion.

It should be obvious that DeBoer has lost the room.>>disagree

    • it is obvious that DeBoer has lost the room

      100% AGREE

DeBoer should never have been hired in the first place.

      • THE hockey GOD

RR have a cookie, you are obviously brain dead today.

team is clearly trying, hit a number of posts (circle back to your post above)

not the coach’s fault that half the team are AHL call ups, and few AHL rejects.

        • Those AHL players are gaining a lot of experience. I actually thought they all played extremely well as a team for most of the night. They ran into a shit hot goalie that was a complete fucking brick wall last night. They should have had 4 or 5 goals.

That still doesn’t excuse that dumb fucking look on DeBoering’s face that he has after every loss. No passion, just simply resignation in his attitude. Can’t stand him as a coach. He’s probably a good person, but he leaves a lot to desired in terms of coaching.

I think Stephenson would be a better coach. At least he has balls to grab!

          • THE hockey GOD

RR I guess you missed all the veteran players body language schooling the AHLErs.

How many times were the veterans open and the AHLers didn’t make the play, count the number of times they were tapping their stick on the ice when they were open. LEARN TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON OUT THERE

Dadonov situation, as best I can glean/understand: Dadonov seems to have properly filed 10-team NTC list with #Sens before July 1, 2021 due date.

#Sens traded Dadonov to #VGK on July 28, 2021. Was the list, which was still valid, passed along to #VGK on trade call?-from O

    • VGK FO can now blame the Russian for not making the playoffs……

      • THE hockey GOD

which one, they have several on roster?

        • Dadanov….if they can’t dump his cap and bring back Stone or Patches.

          • THE hockey GOD

RR dadanov…..patches” That is on either the VGK FO or the NHL for approving the trade in first place, or NHL not acting on it in an expedient manner in first place leaving VGK holding the bag.

IMHO the TRADE DEADLINE and the way it is set up is FUBR, as well as SAL CAP .

  25. My son said it best about last night’s loss. The VGK’s play with a training camp scrimmage line up. They have been doing that for a while now.

    • On a positive note. VGK should have scored 4 or 5 goals yesterday. Hellybuck stood on his head and probably had the best game of his life. Of course, it seems like that happens against us every game.

      • THE hockey GOD

wait a minute, I thought you said the coach lost the room ?? SETTLE DOWN, get your thoughts straight, you are spinning again.

        • The coach lost the room long ago. This team hasn’t been an offensive threat for a long long time. Yes, they had a great 1st period last night and could have had 4 or 5 goals in the first 30 minutes. It didn’t happen, and then they had to chase ……

          • THE hockey GOD

RR that is most oxymoronic statement I have heard in long time, coulda woulda shoulda is NOT the same as coach losing the room.

take a chill pill, you are clearly not thinking logically.

be well, my friend. I really don’t meant to jump all over and get on your case.

If it’s unclear what a woman is, how does Biden know he’s nominated one for the SC?

liberalism is surely a mental disease.

    • It’s truly unbelievable. A “woman” who is nominated for the Supreme Court of the United States refuses to even say that she understands the definition of a woman.

This is the United States of America that progressives have turned it into. Confusion, division, and a place where everyone but them have some sort of privilege…… The dream of Martin Luther King has been destroyed by the progressive left.

That will probably trigger some of you – but just think about it. Life isn’t confusing. There are two genders, period. Then if you want to sort out what you are identifying as after that – then fine. But let’s not throw science out the window.

      • THE hockey GOD

dadonov moving to commie CA was your best post of day !! LOL

FLORIDA suspended the state tax on gasoline, giving drivers a break, you would think Blue states would do the same , but no>>>>>>

on another note, following up along the same lines.

here is little doubt that the Biden agenda is failing, particularly as it pertains to the American economy.

From the moment that Joe Biden took office, it was rather apparent that the reluctant candidate would become a reluctant Commander in Chief, with inaction being the primary mode of operation as far as anyone can tell.

This stagnation, combined with an out-of-control inflationary bubble, has seen prices on ordinary goods and services skyrocket. When you factor in new energy sanctions against Russia, this also sent gasoline prices into the stratosphere.

With the American people now suffering mightily under the weight of these new costs, Congress is considering drastic action.

Los Angeles on Tuesday became the first major city in the U.S. to reach an average gas price of $6 or more. That’s according to fuel savings platform GasBuddy, which reported the national average gas price in the U.S. beginning to decline since its peak of $4.35 per gallon on March 10.

One proposal comes from Reps. Mike Thompson of California, John Larson of Connecticut, and Lauren Underwood of Illinois.

The congressional lawmakers propose the Gas Rebate Act of 2022 where Americans would get an energy rebate of $100 per month (and $100 for each dependent) for the rest of 2022 in any month where the national average gas prices exceed $4.00 per gallon.

Thompson was quick to divert attention away from Biden-flation, blaming the issue solely on Russia.
(except that energy costs rose substantially the month after slojoe took office)

State-level lawmakers were also getting in on the action, with another California legislator suggesting that a $400 per year gas rebate could be enacted at the local level.

From now on you must call me Handsome Daryl as that is what I want to be dentiified as… If you call me by any other name I’m going to sue you and make a federal case out of it

HAndsome Harry (Hairy) is more appropriate, and a bit oxymoronic

          • Daryl

The rise and fall of the Vegas Knights empire there is a lot of blame to go around. Bad trades, underachievers, giving draft choices away like candy, letting good players walk, all this has contributed to where we are today. We’ve had an inordinate amount of injuries no question about that but when you resign guys in there 30’s there’s always a higher possibility of injuries.
I think I covered this topic back in September and at that time said I never understood why most disagreed with me to go balls to the wall game one on.So now everyone is desperate about watching the standings and our points. You all for the most part like cruise control and turn it on when you want. When I played or coached there was no such thing as cruise control balls to the wall or take a seat. Marchy is one guy who gets it plays with a chip every game but name another? That’s what they need to figure out this summer who wants to play.

Biggest issue is injuries especially no Patch and Stone with Eichel, however I am open to the notion there is something the coach can do to solve the not enough goals in the net problem, make that zero last two games.

      @ tim
      and COVID

Covid has done a lot more damage than injuries, because NHL , as well as CANADA , set different standards.

      • Daryl

So wait, covid only affected VGK? Good thing there wasn’t bad ice too

    Season two:

43-32-7 (93 pts). There is still hope.

Good for 3rd place and a first round date with the 2nd place Sharks. We all know how that ended. Blowing a 3-1 series lead and a 3-0 lead late in game 7. Brutal coaching job.
