Recap: The Golden Knights limped into Dallas looking to break their latest skid. Vegas would take a couple of penalties early in the game which the Stars would take advantage of. Alexander Radulov gave his team a 1-0 lead with a power play goal. Esa Lindell made it 2-0 Dallas a couple of shifts later.
The Golden Knights would get almost eight minutes of a man-advantage in the first 13 minutes of the 2nd period. Shea Theodore would sneak one past Stars goaltender Ben Bishop seconds after the PP expired. Vegas trailed 2-1 but the Stars would regain their two goal lead four minutes later. After 40 minutes of action the Golden Knights were down 3-1.
Vegas would get within one quickly into the 3rd period. Paul Stastny broke his scoring drought 1:23 in making it 3-2 Dallas. The Golden Knights would commit a late penalty which the Stars would capitalize on. Dallas would go on to finish off Vegas 4-2.
Vegas’ record drops to 11-11-4 and extend their three-game losing streak. The Golden Knights will get things going in Nashville to close out their two-game business trip. Puck drop is scheduled for 5 PM. (Recap by Jason)
Analysis: The Golden Knights didn’t play a horrendous game, but it simply wasn’t good enough to beat a great team. They were better on loose pucks than against Edmonton but they are going to need to do a lot more to get this turned around. (Analysis by Ken)

Yet again, Mark Stone is everywhere to create the chance and Stastny flicks it home.

Key saves have been a problem for Subban. He hasn't been terrible, but he hasn't stolen enough to help his team win. Very few have been his fault, but there are also not enough that he isn't supposed to get but does.

Time to cut loose a bunch of stiffs. Start with no-wins Subban, no-talent Merrill, and no-clue Gerard Babcock.
This team was called out by the coach after the Edm game, and what do they do? they stink up the place in the first period, which tells me that they are tuning out Mr. Cab ride.
They can’t even string 3 wins together, so a dark T-Mobile arena in April is almost certain, unless major changes are made right friggin now.
The season is already 1/3 over, and it’s gettin’ worse, not better for the hapless Knights.
Call us when McCrimPhee decide to get off their ass and do something.

Stone? #1 Star. Really? Mr. Elite? Did you even watch the Game? He has been invisible for past month and makes one good/average pass (and many bad ones) and #1 Star. Time to breakdown his play since he arrived. Other than a nice run against Jones at his absolute worst in the Playoffs he has been good. At $10m/year, he has to be great. The blame game starts and ends with him.

If you think he’s been bad, you REALLY don’t want me to break down his game. The guy has been the best player on the team and it’s not all that close.

Notice that Dallas DID publicly criticize THEIR top players last year, and it worked. Their CEO profanely and angrily trashed them in the press. And they almost won it all, losing to the Blues in game 7 in double OT.
But here in Vegas, the players are seen as family, above any criticism. Marchessault is playing like total horseshit this season, but nobody says a word. and so are many others.
The Knights best players are not performing up to their standards, and the rest of the team is depth poor because the loss of several role players has left them thin and inexperienced on the bottom of the roster. Plus, of course, they have a slow, mediocre d corps and a pisspoor backup goalie. and a coach whose “system” is nothing but disorganized chaos.
